Episode #28: Leadership Development with Paloma Medina
In this episode, host Charlotte Chipperfield welcomes Paloma Medina, who is a TEDx speaker, management trainer, coach and entrepreneur. She has 10+ years of experience merging the neuropsychology of work and life to support leaders and managers in building high-performing and human-centered workplaces.
Here are highlights of the discussion points in this episode:
What is neuropsychology? And how can we use it to improve our emotions and cognitive abilities to support the lives we want to lead.
How neuropsychology can help leaders support their teams instead of making it up as you go.
How managers can make better decisions.
The six core needs (BICEPS) our brains are always scanning for to assess threats and how leaders can track these responses of employees and self lead.
How DEI and leadership are not separate subjects and need to be integrated into all leadership development.
How leaders already know how to create a DEI framework and stay accountable.
How we can continue to nurture teams in the virtual world with meeting rules.
This is a great episode for any leaders looking to deepen and strengthen human-centered relationships in and around the workplace.
